Message from the Chair

Message from the chair – January 2025

Dear Members,

AVOHK was formed in 1982, and as we begin 2025, we are entering our 43rd year. We are seeking Club members to volunteer for the Committee. In particular, we need someone with the skills to maintain the AVOHK website. If you are interested, please contact me at chair@avohk.org. Please seriously consider, “Your Committee needs you.”

On Sunday, 12th January 2025, AVOHK hosted the 2025 AVOHK China Coast Marathon and Half Marathon, and provided logistical support for the Community Chest 10K and Half Marathon. A big thank you to all the volunteers who supported the races. Without your support, this large event would not be possible. Well done to those AVOHK members who participated! Catherine Leonard, Co-Race Director, has written a report for the newsletter, and results are available on the AVOHK website: www.avohk.org.

The AVOHK Committee will meet on 3rd February 2025 to discuss race dates and other activities for 2025. We look forward to announcing these in the coming months.
