2025 AVOHK Reservoir Series – Race 3 – Shing Mun Reservoir, overall series results and photo’s

Thank you to all the runners that turned up bright and early for the final race of the 2025 AVOHK Reservoir Series held at 9am on Sun 9th Nov 2025 at Shing Mun Reservoir. The course is approx 7.6km with some demanding hills in the first 2.8km followed by a long stretch on the sandy winding catchment trail next to Shing Mun Reservoir. Today we were very fortunate to have Olympian (and AVOHK Member) Chris Wardlaw running the race. Chris ran for Australia in the 10km track and Marathon at the 1976 Olympics (Montreal) and the Marathon in the 1980 Olympics (Moscow). Leading the runners home and scoring a well earned victory was Vaibhav Bhoovarahan MO in 34 mins 45 secs, followed by two time winner Christopher Whitehead MO in 2nd place in 35 min 10 secs, with John Cove MO 3rd in 35 mins 35 secs. Leading the ladies home and scoring her well earned second victory in the series was Natasha Douin LO in a speedy 43 mins 4 secs, 2nd lady home was Margaret Chui L60 in 46 mins 35 sec and 3rd lady home was Lau Wai Hin LO in 47 min 1 sec. A big thank you to Phil Booth the Race and Series Director and all the wonderful AVOHK volunteers who made this race and the series happen.

Chris Wardlaw M75, had a good run finishing 40th overall. Chris very kindly agreed to present the overall 2025 Reservoir Series prizes.
