Races are open all athletes aged 18 or over on race day. Age group categories are based on age on 4 February 2024.

AVOHK members (must be a valid AVOHK member at date of event registration) are eligible for additional prizes and trophies. To be eligible for an AVOHK prize members should wear AVOHK kit at the race.
The John Lane Tankard will be awarded to the First Veteran (aged 40 or over) AVOHK member runner in the marathon regardless of them being eligible for another prize.
A Casey Cap will be awarded to the fastest female and fastest male veteran AVOHK members (aged 40 or over) in the half marathon.
