Courses

The races are on undulating service roads at High Island Reservoir and are very scenic. Both races start and finish on the road by the layby at Pak Tam Chung.

Important to note: The roads are not closed to traffic.

There are km markers every 5 km. The marathon course is AIMS certified. Marathon time limit is 6 hours. Runners who are not able to complete the course in this time will be prevented from starting the return leg to the East Dam. The course will begin to close from 1 pm onwards and the finish area closes at 2 pm.

Water stations approximately every 5km, and at the finish. Water in cups. First aid at start/finish and on course. See maps for locations

Timing equipment is clearly signed at each timing point and runners must ensure they run over mats or within timing antennae.

The marathon corse is measured to AIMS standards and the race is a member of AIMS.

Marathon route

Start on Tai Mong Tsai road inside the barrier at Pak Tam Chung. Uphill Tai Mong Tsai road to point B. Sai Kung Man Yee road to point C East Dam. Return to point B. Sai Kung Sai Wan road to point E. Return to point B. Sai Kung Man Yee road to point C East Dam. Return to point B. Sai Kung Sai Wan road to point D. Return to point B. Downhill Tai Mong Tsai road to finish.

Half marathon route
