2026 AVOHK 5K Series – Race 3 Results – Black’s Link – Sat 5th Sept 2026

Thank you to the 179 runners that turned out on a hot and humid Saturday morning. There was a festive feel about the race and we were blessed with the presence of 18 year old Michael Clark, a current British Junior Track and Cross Country International, who has been in town visiting his mum. The men started at 0800 and Michael Clark (MO) made light work of this tricky undulating course and came home in a very fast time of 16 mins 55 secs, with Jayden Liu (MJ15) in 2nd place in 18 mins 31 secs, with Sebastian Cotton (M35) in 3rd place in 18 mins 47 Secs. The Women started at 0805 and Colette Whiteoak (W35) managed to hold off Hannah Bainbridge (W45) to lead the women home in 22 mins 33 secs, with Hannah Bainbridge (W45) 2nd in 22 mins 47 secs and Helene Boursier Neto (W40) 3rd in 24 mins 59 secs. Thank you to all the volunteers that made this race possible. The AVOHK team look forward to seeing you all at the 4th and final race at 8am Sat 12th Sept 2026 at Sandy Bay. The overall series prizes will be presented and there will be post race coffee available for all the runners.
