The race started at 8am sharp in warm and humid conditions and the 202 runners were sent on their way by AVOHK’s Phil Booth the Race MC. The course contains a long slow almost 1km climb. Michael Clark MJ17 a current GB Junior International athlete visiting from UK showed everyone a clean pair of heels and came home in a very fast 17.27, in 2nd place Ilias Tobback MJ15 in 18.59 and in 3rd place AVOHK’s Isaac Yuen M40 in 19.04. The First Lady home was AVOHK’s Hannah Bainbridge W45 in a very fast 22.43, closely followed by Connie Fang W45 in 22.59. Thank you to all the runners that turned up today and produced some wonderful performances. A big thank you also to Race Director Freeman Lee and all the AVOHK Volunteers who made this race happen.
